Recent ADA Legislation HR3590 Status To amend title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 to require, as a precondition to commencing a civil action with respect to a place of public accommodation or a commerical facility, that an opportunity be provided to correct alleged violations. JANKEY v TWENTIETH CENTURY The court held that facilities that are within a category of public accommodation specified in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are exempt from coverage under the statute if they are not in fact open to the public. |
